Hampshire County Council are in receipt of the Public Right of Way User Evidence Forms that many of you had returned to us. Unfortunately, they currently have over 50 Right of Way Claim applications pending and in all probability, it will take at least a year, as the `committee' only meets every 6 weeks. However, it is considered desirable to expedite an application that would not otherwise be dealt with for some time, if it could be proved to be in the interests of the public to resolve the claim promptly. All suggestions welcome.
We understand that the caravan has now been granted permission to remain in the woods until the end of May, so we have hired the Village Hall for Friday 11 June from 8:00-9:00 p.m. to discuss our next course of action and hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend. (It would be very helpful if you could confirm by e-mail or tel. the number below as to whether you can do so, in order to have some idea of numbers.)
For those who have not had the opportunity of completing one of the PRWUE forms, there will be an opportunity to do so, at this meeting.
Thank you to all those who made the effort to attend the Parish Council Meeting in March, albeit their response was very diffident. However, we feel a general get together with everyone who feels strongly about the continued use of the footpaths would be beneficial.
Proposed Agenda:
- Progress of right of way claim applications
- Ideas to raise priority of our application
- Status of Caravan
- A.O.B.
