ALL SAINTS PARISH CHURCHThe ancient parish church of All Saints continues to be a
significant focus for a large number of people within our
ecclesiastical parish, which encompasses the civil
parishes of Headley and Lindford and is the only Church of
England church in the parish. In our services and, in particular,
on special occasions we touch an increasing number of people
and families in the community and an increasing number are
coming from outside our parish. As always we have had very many baptisms, weddings and funerals and it is encouraging that many people feel that they are able to come to the church at these very special times. In relation to weddings and their all too frequent breakdowns it is worth saying again that under certain circumstances those who have been divorced can be remarried in our church. If this is a course of action that could apply to you then please do not hesitate to contact me and we can explore your particular situation. |

Many find comfort in our churchyard where they can reflect at the place where the mortal remains of their loved ones have been placed. We all are grateful for those who keep it in such a good state and for those who contribute financially to its upkeep, including both Headley and Lindford Parish Councils. Our new Garden of Remembrance has now been completed and the first internment has already taken place. The arrangements for the burial of cremated remains are very different from that which obtains elsewhere in our churchyard and full details can be acquired from Funeral Directors or the Church Office. We produce a monthly parish magazine that gives regular information on all the activities in Headley and Lindford as well as times of church services, details of church activities and groups, together with a directory of local businesses. It is a unique publication and is invaluable in putting people in touch with all that goes on in the parish. It can be purchased from most of the shops in Headley or from the church. |
