The Year Ahead…

With over 50 professional shows a year and a host of creative arts classes there is something to suit all tastes, ages and abilities at The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre. We are proud of our links with the local community and as we continue to deliver our ambitious programme of events we are indebted to all our customers for their continuing patronage and support. If you would like to know more about what we do or indeed give us feedback on the service we provide why not contact us on (01420) 472664.

New Directions & Aspirations
With the appointment of a new Director, 2011 promises to be an exciting time for The Phoenix Theatre. Portsmouth-born Rob Allerston returns to the county after an absence of more than 20 years and brings with him a wealth of experience in theatre management. When asked about the challenge ahead he added, "I can't wait to get started, I see Bordon and Whitehill changing immensely in the next 5 to 10 years and I'd like The Phoenix Theatre to be at the centre of these changes. We will continue with our excellent work in local community and aspire to become the first choice locally for a good night out".

Creative Arts Classes for All
We are proud of our association with Hampshire Learning enabling us to offer a wide variety of creative arts classes. In addition to our workshops for adults with learning difficulties, we hold weekly classes in pottery, yoga, art and singing with The Phoenix Community Choir. Children's activities include our own kid's art, drama and youth theatre groups and new for 2011 will be our first ever kids dance classes. If you'd like further information on any of our creative arts classes why not give us a call on (01420) 472664.

Arts Festival 2011
This year scheduled for the first 2 weeks in July, The Phoenix Theatre will again be hosting this year's Bordon & Whitehill Arts Festival. Starting with our regular fun-day on Saturday 2nd July the 15-day Arts Festival will feature a wide variety of local artists, performers and organisations as we all come together to help celebrate the arts in our area. There is still time for local individuals or groups to be involved, so if you would like to take part or can put aside a couple of hours to help run the event, please contact Director Rob Allerston on (01420) 472664.

Volunteers – We Need You!
It was Field Marshall Lord Kitchener who famously didn't say 'Your Theatre Needs You'. In the current economic climate our volunteers will be crucial in enabling us to continue with the work we do. We are therefore looking to recruit volunteers with skills that might include: DIY, gardening or general administration. We also need volunteers who can help distribute our posters and flyers and others that can act as ambassadors for The Phoenix Theatre. If you can spare us a couple of hours each week call us on (01420) 472664 for an informal chat. To buy tickets on-line go to www.phoenixarts.co.uk Alternatively call the Box Office on (01420) 472664
