HEADLEY WIVES' GROUP

http://www.headley-village.com/wives

Headley Wives Group is linked with the Parish Church but is an Open Group and welcomes members of all ages. We meet at 8.00pm in the Church Centre on the first Tuesday of each month. For details of our meetings please see the Parish Magazine.

Our programme is very varied and we try to cater for a variety of interests. In 2011 we had speakers about wildlife in Surrey gardens, bee-keeping, Regency Guildford and living in France. We found out about activities at The Kingsley Centre, and Brookwood Cemetery and had a talk about John Betjeman. We visited The Weald and Downland open air museum and had two outings to Haslemere Players. We were entertained by Sing for Joy at Christmas and held our annual New Year dinner at Applegarth in Grayshott. We hold a Lent Supper each year and donate a collection to a local charity – this year it was TLC.

We provide and make the Christingles for the Christingle Service in the church in December and serve coffee after the 10am service once a quarter. We also hold our annual walk in the summer, ending the evening with a meal at a pub and embarked on a walking treasure hunt in Headley.

If you would like further information please contact Gill Dawson 01420 475774 or come along to one of our meetings.
We would be delighted to see you.
