STANDFORD ARCHERS

Standford Archers was founded in May 1980 and shot in the grounds of Standford Grange, then at Lindford Cricket Club in 1987, then in Mill Chase School in the 90s. We moved to our present shooting ground at Bordon & Oakhanger Sports Club (B.O.S.C) in 2000.

We use a small hall for shooting in an evening during the winter months and during the summer and the winter daytime we use an enclosed field which gives us 24 hour availability and a system of floodlights for night time use.
The club hosts a number of shoots each year. In September we host a traditional Longbow competition and we also host a very popular Christmas pudding shoot in December with archers coming from far and wide to compete, and in January we hold a frostbite shoot under floodlights in an evening.

As a club we are proud to have some of our archers shoot for the Hampshire Team and there are various competitions throughout the year with some of our members travelling to Jersey & Guernsey for the Longbow & Recurve competitions. We welcome all people from those who wish to shoot socially to those who want to take archery to a higher level.
We welcome Longbow, Barebow, Recurve and Compound archers but we are unable to accept crossbows.
