The improvements to the clubhouse are now nearly complete and we are all very thankful to Robin Hall and his team for working so hard and we’re sure you’ll agree that we now have a venue to be proud of.

The committee would welcome any comments or suggestion re. format of tournament for next year. The choice so far is;
- Round Robin with September finals
- As this year; knockout over shorter period with plate competition for those knocked out in 1st round
- NEW FORMAT; as b. but run over two weekends (Fri-Sun) with finals on second Sunday or split between both Sundays

Congratulations to all those who took part and good luck for the coming season especially the ladies who are now competing in higher divisions.
LTA MEMBERSHIP
Our LTA membership was completed in August so we will now be eligible for inclusion in the Wimbledon Draw 2012. Members will be invited to enter on renewing their membership in March next year.
SOCIAL EVENTS
The usual skittles evening has been postponed until spring due to unavailability of venue.
New Year’s Day Tennis
This will take place as usual. Turn up and play from 12 midday and bring nibbles - we will supply mulled wine to fortify!
New Year Dinner
Jan has made a booking at Applegarth for Fri. 13th Jan. (obviously not superstitious)
Full details will be sent out later but put the date in your diary.
Sunday Tennis
We are continuing the “turn up and play Sundays” during the winter on the first Sunday of the month 2-4pm
Everyone welcome just bring a contribution for tea. We would love to see more people supporting this as it is the only time when the courts are open to all members of the family to bring the club together.
Club Evenings
As numbers drop during the winter, we have decided to only run Mondays as Club Evenings, turn up from 7.30
COACHING
Coaching is now available through ‘GO TENNIS’ on our courts. Peter who is a member of the club and has coached at Kingsley is starting his programme this month. He will work with Nick Youl who is known to many of you and will provide group and individual lessons for ALL ages and abilities. A leaflet with contact details is attached (click here).
