Footpath No.23 – Churt Road to Surrey county boundary

This starts opposite Hammer Lane as an accommodation road – there is no guide post.

Just before the end of the road, our path goes to the right (no guide post) ...

... and then straight ahead to meet the Barford stream at a ford and wooden bridge.

This is the county boundary with Surrey where Headley FP23 ends. It continues as Ivy House Lane (Surrey BW31) to meet Lampard Lane and can be used with Headley rights of way as part of a circular walk.
Note: A Surrey guide marker on the bridge (see photo) indicates that Headley FP23 is a bridleway, and it is certainly used as such with horses crossing at the ford. Perhaps it should be reclassified as a Bridleway?
