Footpath No.33 – Tulls Lane at Hatch Farm to Parish boundary with Bramshott

Continues as Bramshott FP54 along the side of the River Wey to Passfield

Note: In the past FP33 would have been a track well-used for, among other things, moving material between Bramshott Mill and Standford Mill, two paper mills run by the Warren family. Standford Mill closed in 1890, and Bramshott Mill in the 1920s.

There is a finger post on Tulls Lane indicating the route through a wooden gate and across a garden.

The track is straight, flat, wide and well-metalled with a water-meadow behind a fence on the right.

Soon on the right there is an entrance (through a kissing gate) to a Permissive Path leading over a reconstructed aqueduct and through the water-meadow to Standford Green (site of the old Robin Hood pub). It makes a pleasant circular walk, coming back over the footbridge by the Standford ford.

Shortly after this, the path crosses the parish boundary with Bramshott and becomes Bramshott FP54. [There is a low earth bank marking the boundary coming in at 90° to the left, which is easier to see in winter when there is less vegetation.]

At a junction shortly, there is a concrete bridge over the river to the right which leads to a Trading Estate on the site of the old Bramshott Paper Mill. FP 54 continues ahead as an enjoyable riverside walk to Passfield.
