Footpath No.502 – Beech Hill (B3002) to Headley Hill Road

Updated July 2020

[This footpath was in the past numbered FP53]

Please note that care must be taken approaching Beech Hill (B3002) when walking this path in the reverse direction. Sightlines are bad due to the bend in the road, and there is no pavement. If incorporating this path in a circular walk it is thoroughly recommended that it is walked in the direction shown.

Note: This path has gates

1
There is a finger post on Beech Hill (opposite Honeysuckle Lane) leading sharply uphill into woodland.  Beware of fast road traffic.
2
The woodland (Headley Hill Woods) surrounding the path is the property of Headley Parish Council until it passes through a gap in a wooden barrier when it becomes privately owned.
3
Soon after this, it crosses FP501 ...
4
... and carries on straight ahead until it reaches a gate ...
5
... which leads through a short section between hedges ...
6
... to a second gate on Headley Hill Road where there is a finger post (photo in reverse direction).
