BOAT No.38 – Junction of Pond Road and Furze Hill Road to Parish boundary with Bramshott on Ludshott Common

The track begins at a small NT car park at the junction of Pond Road and Furze Hill Road. There is a NT sign by the car park, but no guide post to the BOAT.

It can be muddy at times– and particularly after rainstorms the track can become a stream. There is an alternative parallel path for walkers on the right of the BOAT for the worst part.

At a National Trust sign on the left, tracks go up into the woods and can make an interesting diversion joining up with FP510.

Shortly before the end of the BOAT, a small concrete dam is passed on the right with a path over into Gentles Copse. The parish boundary with Bramshott is not well-defined at this point, though marked by a 2-metre-high bank elsewhere in the vicinity (see ‘National Trust paths in Gentles Copse’).

This is the end of the BOAT: straight ahead is a junction of three Bramshott bridleways leading off in various directions across Ludshott Common. Turning sharply to the left, Bramshott FP59 rises and follows the parish boundary north-east.
