Footpath No.27 – Beech Hill Road to Barley Mow Hill

Updated July 2020

Note: The latter part of this path has steep steps.

This right-of-way begins as an accommodation road for properties on Arford Common, used regularly by vehicular traffic, but ends as a narrow footpath.

There is no guide post at the entrance from Beech Hill Road (this photo). The track is surfaced where it rises steeply to the junction with FP40 at the top, then is surfaced only in patches.

It descends to a left-hand bend ...

... along a narrow path between fences and hedges .

5
It eventually descends a series of steps by the wall of a house ...

There is a small guide post here pointing to the steps.
