Footpath No.40 – Arford Common (from Glayshers Hill to FP27)

This is one of the accommodation roads for properties on Arford Common and used regularly by vehicular traffic.

There is a finger post at the entrance from Glayshers Hill.

Shortly there are steps on the left where FP43 begins.  There is no signage here.

The track is unsurfaced and proceeds gently downhill in a straight line with Arford Common on the left. On the right, there are few properties adjoining until after a slight bend to the right (at the point where FP42 descends to Barley Mow Hill), when the properties become more frequent.

It eventually bears left to meet FP41 (there is no guide post here) ...

... then goes downhill past Fairview Cottages ...
