Footpath No.29 – “Breakneck Hill”: Bowcott Hill to Fullers Vale

Updated August 2020

Note: This path is VERY steep; not for the infirm!

1
A wide path, tarmacked at first, rises from the junction of Bowcott Hill with Beech Hill Road – there is no guide post here.

2
It passes through a wooden barrier before crossing BW18 (Headley Hill Road) where there is a guide-post.

3
It becomes a wide tack rising slightly between wooden fences ...

4
... before coming to the steep drop where the earth can be loose and there is no handrail. Proceed with great caution.
On the way down, note the workings to the side where Fullers Earth has been quarried in the past.

5
At the bottom (photo in reverse direction) it joins FP30 in Fullers Vale. There is a guide post. Turn right for Arford; turn left for Pine Cottage and Fullers Vale Road.
