Footpath No.41 – Arford Common (From Beech Hill Road to FP40)

Updated July 2020

This is one of the accommodation roads for properties on Arford Common and used regularly by vehicular traffic.

1
There is a finger post on the triangle at Beech Hill Road. The track is surfaced with concrete up the hill, becoming unsurfaced at the top where it bears sharp left soon after its junction with FP42. Here it is joined by one of the main (unnumbered) E-W paths across Arford Common.

2
After it bears slightly to the right there is a good view – the transmission mast which can be seen on the horizon is situated close to the Golden Pot pub (as was) on the other side of Alton.

3
Here it meets FP40 at a junction with yet another unnumbered E-W path coming from across Arford Common. There is no guide post here.
