Footpath No.42 – Arford Common (From FP41 to Barley Mow Hill)

Note: The path is virtually non-existent across Arford Common. Do we still need it?

This path leaves FP41 indistinctly near the top of the rise. There is no guide post.

It proceeds towards a rectangular grassed area ...

... where the track is lost.

The point where it should proceed to FP40 is now completely blocked (see photo), and there is no indication of it from FP40.

However, the path does proceed from the other side of FP40 (no guide post), though not well-used or cared for ...

... down to Barley Mow Hill where there is a finger post.
