There are finger posts near to the 5-bar gate pointing to two permissive paths ...

... both lead to BW508.

The left-hand path passes directly through the coppice to meet BW508 opposite a tree with a distinctive hole in it. There is no reverse finger post at this end.

The right-hand path follows the direction of Gentles Lane, passing another 5-bar gate ...

... before turning into the woodland to meet BW508 at the ‘muddy patch’. There is no reverse finger post at this end.
